vpnreactor

VPNreactor is a US-based VPN service that boasts internet privacy, freedom and security through its wide range of features. We are going to dissect every element of VPNreactor based on testing their free service.

Price Plans

The company offers 3 diverse price plans that are packed with different options to meet everybody’s needs. This kind of marketing strategy is provides users with more than one option to choose from and is a great value for money. Subscriptions are divided into quarterly, semi-annually and annually at affordable prices. To know more about the price plans, you can go to vpnreactor.com/vpnorder/.

Payment Options

Both regular and anonymous payment methods are accepted at VPNreactor, such as: Bitcoin, Paypal, Visa, Paymentwall, Mastercard as well as American Express.

Free VPNreactor Trial

We were not impressed with the free trial offered by VPNreactor. In spite of offering a free trial for 7 days, users can get access to the US server only and for a total period of 30 minutes, and then the VPN disconnects. In addition, only one protocol can be used, PPTP which does not work in all countries. This is not very efficient for many users especially that the company does not offer any money-back guarantee.

Privacy Policy

Unfortunately, VPNreactor keeps logs, but only partially. A lot of popular VPN providers that are based in the US keep some logs as they fall under US jurisdiction. Logs kept include: real IP address, the browsers used by you, your internet service provider and the time you spend on their website. However, VPNreactor does not monitor your browsing activities or keep records of the website that you visit. They strongly state on their website that they would never sell a user’s information.

Features

Here, we are going to explore the various options and features that VPNreactor offers, including: security level, encryption protocols, compatibility, servers, bandwidth, speed, and more.

Encryption

One of the catchy features of VPNreactor is that it relies on strong encryption ranging between 128-bit and 256-bit encryption to support a variety of tunneling protocols, such as: OpenVPN, PPTP, L2TP/IPsec, IKev2, StealthVPNv2, StealthVPN over Email, SSTP, StealthVPN over HTTPs and SSH. In this way, users can surely be protected whenever they are connected on the internet.

Server Locations and Bandwidth

Only 56 servers are offered by VPNreactor and they are spread across 18 countries, including: EGYPT, US, AUSTRALIA, UK, HUNGARY, MALAYSIA, JAPAN, GERMANY, CANADA, RUSSIA, FRANCE, KOREA, SWEDEN, TAIWAN, SINGAPORE, and more. Indeed VPNreactor has a very small server network, but these servers are very cleverly placed to cover important server location to help internet users bypass geo-restriction and enjoy access to any blocked web content. Moreover, the company allows users to switch between servers without any limits or restrictions.

VPNreactor also gives users unlimited bandwidth as well as unlimited speed to surf the web freely and enjoy all kinds of web activities, including gaming and media streaming.

Platform Compatibility

We are happy to find that VPNreactor has a cross-platform support. The VPN client is fully compatible with all major platforms, like: Linux, Android, iOS, MacOS X and Windows. Moreover, the VPN can be used on a wide range of devices, like: smartphones, tablets, laptops, desktops, Chromebook, Windows phones, Smart TVs and gaming consoles (Xbox and Playstation).

Other Features

VPNreactor comes with few other necessary features that any VPN must include, such as:

1- 2 Simultaneous connections.

2- Dedicated IP addresses.

3- Owns its public DNS service.

Unfortunately, VPNreactor does not come with a kill switch which is currently one of the must haves by VPN service provider as it helps maintain the security and encryption of a user’s data traffic even when the VPN connection drops.

Software Client

We registered for the free VPNreactor trial account to test the performance of the service. In order to sign up for an account, you will need to provide some personal information along with a valid email address and password. You will receive an activation email followed by another email explaining to correctly install the application. In our case, we downloaded the client for our Windows system.

As far as it concerns with the program’s interface, we can say that it is very simple, sleek and user-friendly. Because we were using the free account, we could only connect to the US server through PPTP which was a massive hassle and in the end we were not able to connect at all.

VPNreactor Support

The company only offers e-mail ticketing service for users to communicate with the customer support service. It is very disappointing that the company does not provide a 24/7 live chat support, which is the best and most efficient way of communication between customers and any company. For self-assistance, users can check the Knowledgebase, video tutorials or F.A.Q.

To Wrap It Up

VPNreactor may not be the best VPN service provider around, but it is not all that bad. If you are looking for a VPN that offers basic features or if you are on the go, then it is worth trying. However, it is definitely not recommended for advanced VPN users that are looking for a stern VPN service that is packed with sophisticated features to guarantee a safe and a private internet environment.
