How to Allow VPN through Comodo Firewall (Easy Method)

Follow the steps below in order to stop Comodo Antivirus from blocking your VPN connection on your Windows system:

1- Head over to your system tray, and then right-click to open Comodo Antivirus main window.

2- Next, click on the arrow next to “Tasks” from the Comodo interface, and then click on “Firewall Tasks”.

3- In this step, you will   need to allow your VPN application (e.g: bVPN). You can start by clicking on the “Allow Application”. After that, move on to the “Open” dialog to locate your VPN application.

4- Click on the “Open” button to create a rule in order to allow your VPN app to connect to the internet.  

Bonus #1! How to Block Any App from Connecting to The Internet

1- Head over to your system tray, and then right-click to open Comodo Antivirus main window.

2- Next, click on the arrow next to “Tasks” from the Comodo interface, and then click on “Firewall Tasks”.

3- Click on the “Block Application”. After that, move on to the “Open” dialog to locate your VPN application.

4- Click on the “Open” button to create a rule in order to block the desired application from connecting the internet.

Bonus #2! Defining A New Trusted Application

1- Head over to your system tray, and then right-click to open Comodo Antivirus main window.

2- Next, click on the arrow next to “Tasks” from the Comodo interface, and then click on “Firewall Tasks”.

3- From  click on “Define a New Trusted Application”.

4- You will be prompted by a message asking you to choose the program you want to trust.

5- Next, click on the “Select”, button.

6- Now you have 3 different options to define a new rule:

*File Groups: this option allows you to select your desired app from a category of preset folders or files.

*Running Processes: this option allows you to select the app you want from a list of processes that are already running on your system.

* Browse: this is the easiest of all options. You can simply browse the app you want to trust.

7-  Click on “Apply” to save your changes.
