Thailand is rated one of the lowest countries in the world when it comes to internet freedom. It has a very high rate of online censorship with more than 110,000 banned websites and rising. Even though Thailand is a very touristic country which welcomes people from all over the world all year long.

However, in many cases, even when you are using a VPN, websites can detect your real IP address and restricted your access through their servers. This is called IP leakage, which happens mostly when your VPN is not compatible with your internet protocol version, such as: IPv6 which results in leaking out your real IP address...

L2TP, short for "Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol", is one of the most popularly used encryption protocols with VPN services using UDP port 1701. L2TP is an extension of PPP protocol, however, it is more secure and technologically advanced than its predecessor, PPTP.

In an interesting and even more ironic turn of events, China gets to taste its own medicine as Russia blocks the Chinese giant mobile messaging application, "WeChat" for failure to comply with certain Russian federal laws.
